My name is Theresa O’Boyle and I’m a Certified Personal Trainer. I also have a BAA from Central Michigan University and a MA from Oakland University, both in Education. I moved here to the Traverse City area in 2011 from Lansing, Michigan where I worked at the YMCA. I enjoy spending time with my family; my husband and three children. We like hanging out at the beach and going on hikes together. In the past I have competed in bodybuilding, CrossFit, and recently ran my first race. I enjoy trying new things in the fitness arena which helps me become a better trainer.
It wasn’t until after graduating from college that I began embracing the idea of better health. I began improving my eating habits and discovered how good I felt. A few years later after the birth of my second child, my body wasn’t recovering well. I decided to make another lifestyle change in the form of exercise. It was an amazing transformation! Combining exercise with good nutrition and a positive mindset was key.
